Frequently Asked Questions

With something so awesome, there may be some questions

The definition of “Eloping” is very much outdated in our opinion. We are here to help YOU redefine it! Courthouse walls and the idea of “running away” are things of the past, why not choose the walls of a cliff and a running river instead!? We are here to help you celebrate this beautiful next chapter of your lives  leading into it by doing anything and everything that will bring you both joy. No outside opinions, no one to feel the need to impress, in the end, it’s about the marriage, not the wedding.

Absolutely! If you can’t imagine taking this step without those you love surrounding you, let us help find the perfect location that is accommodating and accessible for your crew!

The beauty of eloping is the variety, with endless mountain tops, waterfalls, and anywhere in between, you choose the style backdrop, and we will guide you to the perfect location fit for your level of comfort and capabilities (as well as your family or friends.)

Anything you wish, however, if you are choosing to go with a more “traditional” style of a gown or suit, we have a few options!

1. If you are planning on a more intensive hike, we highly recommend a trusty pair of hiking boots and some comfortable clothes! We can supply the micro-spikes depending on the weather conditions and give you an extra hand with your gowns or suits for once we reach the destination!

2. If your ceremony location is an easy hike in, and if you are okay with getting a little dirty, you can feel free to dress before you arrive and we can grab some badass photos of you traversing through the woods!

If you are fellow outdoor enthusiasts like us, chances are you will have some gear on hand, we will let you know what we are planning on bringing and you can absolutely bring your own! However, no gear purchases are required, as we will happily supply everything necessary for your epic elopement and adventure!

Hey, if you’re bold enough you could get changed right out in the open, but don’t worry we wouldn’t make you! We have a pop-up changing tent that we set up for you tucked away near your ceremony spot!

  • When nature calls we’ve got your back, well not literally, but a sturdy tree can help with that! A “cat hole”, aka, a 6-8 inch hole dug into the ground 150 feet away from water sources, campsites, and trailheads can be prepared with a trowel, your hands, or a stick. Combine that with some “TP” and you are golden! This is the go-to for non-winter hikes! Clean waste WAG Bag or Biffy Bags are the go-to for frozen grounds! We are firm followers of “Leave no trace” so we can help keep the Adirondacks as beautiful tomorrow as they are today! Our team is always prepared with a trowel and toilet paper if necessary! You can however bring your own if you don’t feel up to asking us, but it is good to know if you need it, it’s there! Just so you know, we aren’t too mature to have a good ol’ poop conversation! Here is a helpful video in case you want to know “how to go” in the woods!

Bugs are not preferred guests at your elopement, we get it! Perks of winter elopements, they won’t be hanging out! However, if you are leaning more towards spring or summer, just know there will be less of them once we’ve reached the summit, and even less if it has been around three days without rain! We’re always prepared with some bug spray, just in case they get extra pesky!

Marc-Anthony or Andrew (our team officiants) will be in contact with you to customize and personalize the words that will be read during your ceremony! They happily will recite any meaningful readings or poems, or if you want to keep it totally traditional, they’ve got that covered as well!

Yes, you can! Marc and Andrew are non-denominational officiants, but if your religion is something you would like included in your elopement, we recommend reaching out early to those you have in mind and ask them if they are up for an adventure!

We aim to be as flexible as possible, and we aren’t just talking about yoga poses! We will work with you to have a backup plan that will be equally as amazing as the original plan!

Eloping can be as planned or as spontaneous as you wish to make it! Did you just get engaged last Saturday and are perusing the idea? Why not tie the knot next week?! Are you more of a “sleep on it” type of person? Schedule it out as far as you wish! The world is your oyster, and the mountains are your altar!

It’s a photoshoot of you both as a couple doing your favorite adventurous activity or trying something new for the first time with help from our certified guide. It can be totally unrelated to getting married! Some of the activities included are rock climbing, hiking, canoeing/ kayaking, horseback riding, road cycling tour, mountain bike riding, and cross country skiing.
