So you’re engaged and you’re just starting to think about how to celebrate your union? It seems like everything and everyone is pushing you towards a traditional wedding. Whether it’s social media, TV shows, your friends or family. You keep hearing “It’s just what you do”, and “You HAVE to have a wedding!” Now your excitement from your engagement is turning into planning stress!
We get it! We’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and they can be a perfect fit for so many couples! However we’ve unfortunately seen too many couples stressed and financially drained!
It made us think, there must be another solution to celebrate love in a different way, so we started to offer Elopements in one of our favorite places in the world, the Adirondacks! We noticed a change in couples’ energy. They seemed more present, calm, and grateful, surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains, lakes, and forests. The day was centered on their values, in a breathtaking location, without the pressure of pleasing anyone but themselves!
From here, Forever Wild Vows was born! We quickly realized that since this wasn’t just a typical wedding, that there were going to be some new, unknown logistics for couples. So we set out to make it incredibly easy for our couples by offering everything needed to have a ceremony in the Adirondacks. We also provide information on the best locations in the region for any ability level, from no hiking at all to longer adventure hikes, and even spots where a small group of their favorite people can join!
