James and Shawn had an ideal intimate sunrise ADK elopement! A quiet trail, a leisurely hike to a gorgeous view, and the sun waiting to greet us at the summit- it doesn’t get better than that!

Shawn and James’ love story began during the summer of 2016 at Binghamton University. Placed in the same suite for orientation, and after James asked Shawn to sit next to him during their first chemistry lecture, the relationship quickly blossomed! Some might say they had…chemistry! Their relationship became official on April 2, 2017 and despite their busy schedules as involved students, they always made time for each other- shoutout Google calendar!

Through supporting each other’s individual goals—James pursuing nursing and Shawn applying to medical school—Shawn and James have always been a safe harbor of love for each other. And now, with medical school winding down, they decided it was the perfect time to get married, especially considering their love for the Adirondacks and the beauty of fall in the mountains!

Their sunrise ADK elopement was a celebration of their love and commitment to each other. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the mountains, they exchanged vows that sealed their lifelong partnership. We were so grateful to take part in this incredible day!
