Tricia and Colter turned what was supposed to be a simple family trip into something way better – a Lake Placid winter elopement that was equal parts adventurous, heartfelt, and snowy in the best way. Instead of planning something traditional, they basically looked at Lake Placid and said, “Yeah… why not here?” And honestly, it was the perfect choice.
They wanted a wedding that felt like an experience, not just an event, and they brought their family right along with them for the adventure. And, as always, Lake Placid’s snowy scenery did not disappoint.
One of the sweetest parts of the day was that Tricia’s dad officiated their ceremony. Watching a parent stand beside their child during such a big moment, surrounded by the beauty of nature and their family, made the whole day feel even more personal and meaningful.
After the ceremony, they leaned right into the adventure, hiking together and taking in those sweeping mountaintop views.
Tricia and Colter’s Lake Placid winter elopement showed that sometimes the best weddings come from simply going for it. Family, snow, and plenty of heart – pretty perfect mix!
