After years of being engaged, Heather and Chris decided to tie the knot with the beauty of the ADKs surrounding them When they reached out, they told us they wanted something simple, real, and centered around their family. And honestly? That’s exactly what their rainy fall elopement turned into.
The kids walked Heather to the aisle, and when the ceremony started, all five of them were right there beside Heather and Chris, creating a moment that felt less like a performance and more like a family choosing each other again.
And yes – it rained. A steady, soft fall drizzle that most people would stress over, but these two just rolled with it. We always say that rain isn’t a deal-breaker for elopements (as long as it’s safe). Sometimes it actually makes everything feel more grounded and intimate. This was one of those days. The colors popped and the whole moment felt like something they’ll look back on and think, “Yep, that was perfectly us.”
By the end of it, they were a little soaked, smiling, and officially married, exactly the way they wanted. A simple celebration with the people who matter most, weather and all. Sometimes the most memorable days are the ones you don’t overthink.
